Karl Jesse's many talents have made him an invaluable addition to the team at Lobitos Creek Ranch. His talents as a sound and music engineer have kept him busy both on location and back at the Ranch on the digital audio workstations. He's pictured here working with Soundtrack, the latest software addition at the Ranch. With Soundtrack, Karl can score an entire project choosing from over 6,000 loops all of which can be adjusted for time, tempo and melody.

Christina Gray

Christina Gray is one of our hot new designers and a whiz kid with Adobe's Creative Suite. She combines her Photoshop and Illustrator skills to create some pretty cool stuff. Some recent projects she has completed are a booklet of rare photos for The Buddy Rich Collector's Edition DVD set, and the identity package for The Baum Foundation.

Beverly Arevalo

Beverly Arevalo
Administration

Someone has to take care of business around The Ranch, and that person is Beverly. She does account management for The Ranch and for our various projects, which includes payroll and royalty reports. Her experience includes administrative work for Redwood Digital, Roche Pharmaceutical, and Symantec.

Frank Alioto

Frank has been building web pages since 1996. He builds pages using the Dreamweaver HTML editor and Adobe Photoshop. He uses FTP (file transfer protocol ) to manage online websites and also to create mirror sites for exclusive viewing by clients.

"What's interesting about my work at the ranch is that it's a great opportunity to see the interaction of the web with video editing and graphic design."

Ken Beckman

Ken Beckman
Engineer

Ken Beckman, a 30 year veteran in the film and video industry, has joined the studio at Lobitos Creek Ranch to establish the High Definition and Electronic Cinema department. Beckman was staff producer at the legendary Xerox Parc research center in Palo Alto, California from 1978 until 1986. Subsequently he has worked for ILM, Lucas Digital, and Apple. His career focuses on digital technology for feature and independent film/video production.

Charles Michelson

Few people have seen as much change in the media as Charles Michelson, where he first began his career in the 1930's radio with "transcriptions" that were replayed on phonographs with a sharpened piece of birch wood.

We will miss him but we are reminded with his passing this summer at the age of 93 of his philosophy that: "A story well told will live forever".
